Why was SCOPE BLN the right place for the first stage of the creation process of "The Tradition"?

The Residency at SCOPE BLN offered us the right scenographic context for the first stage of our creation process. Its interior design resembled the outside of a "Casa Alentejana" - Alentejo's house architecture, which is the region of Portugal where my hometown, Elvas, is located.  Elvas is the geographical background of the piece.

"The Tradition" approaches how transgenerational family traumas find context and support in the traditions and historical background of the city where they occur. This piece travels from the macro social realm to the intimate, family realm. Therefore, the intimate setting of SCOPE PROJECT RAUM was very appropriate for the initial stage of our creative process.
